Money vs Credit

I need some money.  Preferably lots of it.

I'm willing to put in the time, learn new stuff and get my finances to the place I know they should be.
I'd love to win the lottery or some such.  A big win to give me the space and freedom to sort out my economic position and put things in place for a safe financial future.

So I began actually buying a lottery ticket ever so often.  No big win so far, but quite a few free tickets and a couple of £5  has encouraged me to buy a ticket on a regular basis.  More than anything it sort of confirms my belief that I can make some money if I can find something I can do regularly.   Make the effort, put in the time, even learn new stuff if I have to.

I realised I needed to get my credit score and references in a good place.  So I took out one of those cards that allow people like me to start to build a better credit by offering a low enough, manageable amount of credit despite my credit rating.

Getting another credit card is not a good idea if you are already struggling, but this one has helped me focus on repairing my rating and more particularly, my ego.

So along with this I registered for their credit checker service, as it was free, and this helps me keep check of the overall picture and where I stand.

I have been doing well with them, and feeling better for it.  Plus I now have some "borrowed" money to work with.  Not much, but enough.

Now I need to make some real money.
